Just Call Me "Mama Dundee"

The Princess and my niece come into my bedroom.

I am getting ready to get into the shower.

The Princess asks, "Can you put a movie in for us?" She named the movie, but I couldn't tell you the name of it now ... if you gave me a million dollars.

I said, "I'll do it in a while. Not now. I'm getting into the shower," and I walk into the bathroom.

They turn and leave my room and I hear my niece in the hallway say, "Let's go beg your dad again."

I said, "Yeah - you do that," and laughed until I climbed into the water. Go beg Daddy ... again!

I was betting that they would come back.

They did.

Stood outside of the shower, the both of them, and begged me ... again.

On the upside ... It's just like throwing a football. I throw them out and then they come back. No, wait ... that's a boomerang. Silly me.

(*Note: Crocodile Dundee - boomerangs - down under ... never mind)

Kellan, I did get it. Brain is working this morning.
Cute story; I have to do everything around here because the princess only wants Mommy. If Daddy tries to pitch in, she doesn't like it, she wans mommy. DH isn't too upset about it... go figure!
Have a great weekend!

Heehee....hmmm, I guess now that my son is walking, the next big thing would be talking, and soon after that I'm sure the begging will appear too. :)

How true .... even my 3 year old comes back after begging to Daddy. Girls tend to beg more, don't they?

I almost always got what I wanted if I asked dad. It must be a girl thing.

Oh this is great! Too funny, love your blog, I'll be back for sure!

It's scary when they don't come back. Then you have to jump out of the shower, all wet and drippy, gripping a bath robe tightly around you and run up the drive after him.

Coming back is definitely a good thing.

Cute! The boomerang effect, yes. Luckily ( or not so luckily on some days) we don't have that particular game here, as there is no Dad, and the buck stops with me. Ahhh, the power. ;)

At least they didn't attempt it themselves and scratch the dvd all up. That just kills me!

Ahhh you just gotta love the daddies. That is a great analogy about kids and the boomerang...how true it is!

Mine rarely come back to beg. 'Cause Daddy caves hard and fast to nearly every request. Especially from the Girl.

If mine makes it to Dad, she's not coming back. He's physically incapable of saying no to his princess.

Mine have finally started knocking instead of just walking in but yes, they are still knocking and bugging me. Most of the time dad is sitting on the computer where they were BEFORE they came up to bug me in the shower.
