Small Pleasures

One day ... you will be so tall that ... I will have to look up to see your eyes.

One day ... you will be so busy that ... you will have to make time to come and sit next to me.

One day ... you will be everything I imagined and ... so much more.

One day ...

I will remind you ...

How small you once were.

I love that you have taken time from your busy life to think these things. And then share with us. Kids grow up too fast and the smart mom cherishes small moments.

I think those thoughts all the time with Madison. Since she's my only one and it took us ten years before we finally had her.... I try to treasure the moments, the "good" and the "bad". I love those big giant bubbles! Love them Kellan!

Can't you see that I'm already struggling with my "baby" being 6 in less than a month and my BABY being two in June (along with my middle child, who will be four???)

make them stop...

Rosemary Bogdan said...

Yeah. That's for sure. Five of my six children are taller than I am (which is not saying much, but still..) It happened overnight. And number six will probably pass me within a year. I tell her,"But you will always be my baby." and she says, "I know."

AMAZING - WONDERFUL!

I am crying here...all chocked up!

Where is the Rewind button??

It goes way too fast. Glad to see you are back Kellan and feeling better. You had me scared for a bit there. I was stealing someone's wireless internet in Florida so I could sneak on and see how you were doing.

Becky said...

Love the picture and the sentiments. While we want our children to grow up to be strong adults that will do well on their own...sometime we moms never want these days to end. This picture would be one of those moments.

LunaNik said...

**sigh** I say this to myself every day as I sit and play with my two young little girls.

katy said...
