Update On Our Baby

I have not updated on my grand-nephew in a while.

He is doing very well. He now weighs 2lbs. 15oz (almost 3 lbs!). He's eating 6 cc's of milk and even his little fingers are starting to look fat (says my sister). He is just over 2 months old (born March 4th).

As you can see in this picture - my nephew has had the chance to finally hold his baby (skin to skin) - what a blessing.

This baby has had so many prayers and is doing so well - God has been very loving and merciful - we are so very thankful!

Isn't he the sweetest thing ever?!

I can't wait until they let me in to see him! I can't wait for this baby to be out of the hospital and is finally a part of our family - where we can hold him and hug him and kiss him and love him!!

I think we might just have to have a party for this baby on the day he gets to come home.

Yes ... A PARTY!!

Oh Kellan! He is teeny-tiny perfection, personified! What a very strong, very determined little boy. I think he is destined for good things, and a homecoming party will DEFINITELY be in order. The power of prayer cannot be denied. Even though the saying is a bit overused, it is still the true--God is good all the time!

Have a wonderful day, Kellan Renee!

So Cute! Absotively, you MUST have a party for him...just don't make him eat any cake!
Over at Confessions of a CF Husband, Gwyneth is over four pounds now! (I have them on my reading list).

Thanks for stopping by the other day.
Loved the Ninja post too... I too use the "let's ask Daddy" tactic...He knows what his jobs are, and He's good at them! I think it is nice too, because we are all together all day long, and this way, they think of their Dad during the day too.
Hey, mind if I add you to my list?
Blessings & Happy Mother's Day, EJT

awwwwwww, I'm so thrilled he's doing well, and what a precious little face he has! What an amazing moment that must have been for the parents, getting to finally hold him! yay!!!!

THanks for the update Kellan, and I think a party is DEFINATELY in order for his homecoming, whenever that may be!

He's beautiful! His party will be such a wonderful celebration!! You may have to have the party without him present - at least from a couple situations which I am aware of with babies born really early, they are kept away from 'public' for a long time even after they come home. But a tip for if they do have the party with the baby present: have instant hand sanitizer present here and there throughout the house, and encourage everyone to use it. Especially before they hold the baby! This has been a long, exhausting road for your nephew and his wife, but such a blessing!
